What challenges have you faced?

You have to see multiple sides of the issues to extract complex ideas, and boil them down to make them easier to understand for people outside of the issues.

What advice would you give high school students?

Get a well rounded college prep education. Biology and math classes, especially advanced calculus, will pay off in college. Don't be overly worried about starting salaries. Look past the short term salary to think about what will make you happy. Upcoming professionals will have the ability to take public discourse to another level, and always feel good about what they've done at the end of the day.

What is the future of your field?

There will be many opportunities to take Forestry and do a lot with it through water, soil, and wildlife.

What do you like best about your job?

There is always variety in my work; nothing is straight forward. I get to see multiple sides of the issues and use multiple alternatives to solve problems.
