What attracted you to this field?:

I live on an island (Puerto Rico) and I am very close to the environment (rainforest and beaches). I appreciate the diversity and want to protect it.

What do you like best about this field?

I enjoy learning so much about the environment and how the knowledge of the science will help me manage and care for the land.

What do think is the future outlook for your field?

I believe there will be significant issues dealing with air and water quality in the future.

What advice would you give to students considering your field?:

When choosing a field of study, decide first what you enjoy doing and what you would do without being paid. Then, look for ways to find work in that area.
